WISP Tower Climber

Orange County Fiber is currently seeking a qualified individual to fill our Tower Climber opening. We are an ever-growing Fiber ISP and WISP expanding our territory at a rapid pace. This role will be involved with tower site maintenance, upgrades, new builds, and installation as we extend our services to the surrounding areas.

 

Job duties will include; maintenance and installation of wireless internet products and services, working at heights i.e. rooftops, ladders, variations of towers, etc.… This individual should possess knowledge of networking, radio configuration, basic computer skills; Microsoft Office, Mac OS. This is a physically demanding position as installation requires heavy lifting of equipment and gear both at ground level and at height.

ISP Network Admin/Engineer

Orange County Fiber has an immediate opening to fill a vacancy in our Network Administrator role. This highly qualified individual will be responsible for network performance in the areas of our Calix distributed fiber to the home project, wireless ISP services, VoIP platform, Windows and Linux servers and operating systems, IP networking and routing protocol.

Job Duties will include; installation, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of the network and internet systems. The individual will perform configurations on components of the network: routers, switches, access points, on site and remotely. Installing new software/firmware, system upgrades and maintenance, evaluating and identifying system errors and inefficiencies, planning and performing patches and repairs to resolve issues will be part of the daily responsibilities of this candidate. This role will participate in performance and load testing in the development of strategies for future growth, as well as design of IP addressing and schema, documentation of IP addressing and Network architecture. The Network Administrator for Orange County Fiber will provide support to a team of installers as well as our member/consumer base, managed service contracts, customer Email flow, and IT services.

A highly qualified individual should find themselves proficient in the following:

IP subnets/VLSM

Routing protocols; BGP, EIGRP, OSPF

Windows servers; AD-DS. DNS, RRAS, Hyper-V

Linux CLI, bind, freeradius, postfix, KVM, QEMU, and ssh

Cisco (CCNA), Mikrotik (MTCNA)

ARIN IRR

Industry recognized certifications are a plus. Associates degree or relevant experience is required. Travel could be daily within our service territory. No telecommuting.

Network Technician

Orange County Fiber is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Network Technician on the cooperatives ever growing fiber and wireless networks. This role will assist in the management of Window servers, Linux server operating systems, IP Networking, Calix fiber distribution equipment, and VoIP deployment.

 

Job duties will include; installation, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of the network and internet systems. This individual will perform configurations on multiple components throughout the network: routers, switches, and access points, both on site and remotely. Installing new software releases, system upgrades and maintenance, evaluating and installing patches to resolve issues will be expected of this role. He or she will participate in performance and load testing in the development of strategies for future growth, as well as design of IP addressing schema, and documentation of IP addressing and devices.

 

A qualified individual should find themselves familiar with the following:

IP subnets/VLSM

Routing Protocols; BGP, EIGRP, OSPF

Windows servers; AD-DS, DNS, RRAS, Hyper-V

Fiber Technician

Orange County Fiber is currently seeking a qualified individual to fill our Fiber Technician opening. We are an ever-growing Fiber ISP and WISP expanding our territory at a rapid pace. This role will be involved with installation, maintenance, and service calls as we extend our services to the surrounding areas.

 

Job duties will include maintenance and installation of internet products and services. This individual will be responsible for routing structured cabling to and from mounting points on the outside of residential and commercial buildings. Candidates should be able to confidently drill into these types of structures to mount equipment and deliver quality customer service. Driving to and from service calls and appointments will be required. This is a physically demanding position as installation requires lifting of equipment and gear both at ground level and at height. Expect to use crawl spaces and attics to route cabling in residential and commercial buildings daily.
