Orange County Fiber Opens Jasper Office

Orange County Fiber, a division of Orange County REMC, has plans to expand into Dubois County starting in 2022. Orange County Fiber opened an office in Jasper, IN on March 28, 2022. Carla Buechler, a Dubois County resident, has been hired as the Jasper Office Manager.

Orange County Fiber's focus is to provide high speed internet to unserved and underserved residences. General Manager/CEO, Matt Deaton, explained, "We know high speed internet is a big need for students to do their schoolwork from home and parents who work from home."

Grant funding through the federal and state government has made this opportunity possible. ARPA funds granted to Dubois REC to facilitate this project allows much of rural Dubois County to receive our service in the next 24 months. Orange County Fiber would like to thank the Dubois County Commissioners and Dubois County REC for their cooperation which has streamlined the process.

Ribbon cutting by the Jasper Chamber of Commerce was held at the Jasper Office on March 24, 2022. The Jasper Office is located at 124 Staat Strasse, Jasper, IN 47546.
