Ways to Pay
SmartHub is a mobile and web application that allows you to:
View and change account information
Monitor and analyze your electric usage
Make payments all from your mobile device or computer
Set-up recurring credit card payments and sign up for bank draft
One Time Payment
You can make a one time payment without setting up an account.
Electric meters are read on the first week of the following month, therefore, you will be paying a month behind. All bills are due on the 30th of each month.
Orange County REMC has an automated, secure phone system specifically for taking payments. This system is the only way the co-op will accept payment by phone – by calling (833) 890-7734. The system accepts VISA, Mastercard, and Discover credit cards or check payments.

There is no additional fee for this service. A minimum payment of $5.00 is required. Before you call, you need your account number or phone number.
Mail back the stub and payment inside the envelope provided to you with your bill to our payment center.

You can submit your payment during office hours in our main office lobby or drive-through. You can drop off your payment in the night depository after hours located at the drive-through.

AUTOMATIC BANK DRAFT
Automatically deduct your bill out of a bank account on the due date. Fill out our bank draft form and attach a voided check. You can also register a credit card or bank draft through the SmartHub app or on the automated phone system.
Members of Orange County REMC can apply to participate in our Pre-Pay Program. With the program, the member will not be mailed a monthly statement for electric usage. The member is responsible for regularly monitoring the balance on the account. Download the Pre-pay application. Learn more about the Pre-pay rate.
VARIABLE BUDGET BILLING
Most people experience higher electric bills in summer and winter, when temperatures are at extreme highs and lows. Members who enroll in our Variable Budget Billing program can avoid this seasonal swing and can have their bill amount averaged based on the previous 12 months of electric use.
Note: The consumer agrees payment will be made by the due date each month. If payment is delinquent more than twice in a 12 month period, Orange County REMC will remove the consumer from the budget payment plan.
The consumer understands the monthly payment is not the amount actually billed and they will be liable for any balance due or will be given credit for any overpayment at the time of termination of this agreement, or at the time service is disconnected.
DUE DATE EXTENSION
If the due date on your bill falls before your monthly social security or disability check arrives, due date extension can help by deferring your bill amount until after your social security or retirement check arrives. Payment is deferred until the sixth day of the month without a late charge. Complete this due date extension form and return it to the REMC to take advantage of this service.
SEASONAL BILL FORWARD
For our seasonal travelers, the REMC will forward your monthly bill to the address you provide. No need to worry about missing a payment or paying late fees. Contact our office with your forwarding address.
